Reversing the law of hatred and revenge with the law of love and forgiveness.

In the time of revenge and tit for tat, Lamech revenged seventy times seven folds without remorse or rethink. The is according to biblical account of second murder after Cain and Abel in book of Genesis 4:24, Genesis 4:15 and Psalm 79:12

 

“If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech SEVENTY and SEVENFOLD”.

 

“And the LORD said unto him, therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him SEVENFOLD”.

 

“And render unto our neighbors SEVENFOLD into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord”.

 

But Jesus thought in the time of repentance, forgiveness up to seventy times thereby reversing the law of hatred and revenge with the law of love and forgiveness. this will in turn lead us to the rest of grace and peace, grace according to Matthew 18:21-23

 

“Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?  Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.”
