Why you must confess your sins in order to receive your salvation
Because God is good: Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Because HE is ready to forgive: Psalm 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.
Because 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us
Because He will cleanse us: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all. 1 Samuel 7:6 So they gathered together at Mizpah, drew water, and poured it out before the LORD. And they fasted that day, and said there, “We have sinned against the LORD.” And Samuel judged the children of Israel at Mizpah.
Because we need his word in us: 1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us
Because 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Because of deception: 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Because we are already convicted of sin: John 16:8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Because of his Kindness1 Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Because of HIS uprightness: Psalm 25:8 Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
He is the stronghold. Psalm 119:90 Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations; You established the earth, and it stands. Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.
